Edmonton Community Partnership have received just under £10,000 from Wave 5 of the London Community Response fund. We've teamed up with Enfield Children and Young Persons Services (ECYPS) to provide food parcels to families in need.
ECYPS already run a busy food bank twice a week and their volunteers are now providing six fortnightly deliveries to 200 families at 7 of our partnership schools in Edmonton.
The ongoing pandemic has hit many of our families' finances hard and food poverty has become a key issue.
School staff are pleased to be able to offer extra support to families and we are delighted with the excellent service from ECYPS, below is some feedback from our schools:
"Just wanted to say thank you for the food hampers, they were well received."
"We have received 50 bags through some cheerful volunteers. They were all lovely!"
We're very proud to be responding to the needs of Edmonton's families. A huge thank you to the London Community Response fund, and to our schools for helping us get these parcels where they need to go.
