🎬 We’re proud to support this powerful piece of storytelling – The Orphan by Leo Powell
At Edmonton Community Partnership, our Inclusion pillar exists to fund prevention, early intervention, and creative work that speaks truth to the lived experiences of young people growing up in our communities.
That’s why we’re proud to have supported The Orphan, the latest MYM drama from Leo Powell.
This film isn’t just something to watch – it’s something to feel.
The Orphan tells the story of a vulnerable young person searching for belonging, only to be drawn into the dangerous reality of County Lines. It is raw, emotional, and honest, exploring themes of loss, loyalty, and how easily a young life can be shaped by what – and who – surrounds them.
We back work like this because stories can prevent harm.
-
They open conversations
-
They challenge silence
-
They help young people – and adults – recognise warning signs sooner
Huge respect to Leo Powell and the entire team for consistently delivering content that reflects the realities faced by our schools and communities, and for the powerful work they continue to do across the borough and beyond.
